Palace Gate is seeking a Sr. Web Developer (.NET) for our premier client in Northbrook, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain, support, and enhance existing web applications.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and debug applications.
  • Participate in technical design meetings and assist in definition of system architecture.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate progress.
  • Diagram and document solutions when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with all associates and business contacts.
  • Promote a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Provide excellent customer service to users of company system software applications.
Education and Training
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience Required Skills
  • 5+ years of web development experience; focus on e-commerce solutions preferred
  • Strong server side development skills using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server
  • Experience working in web environment such as IIS administration (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, ect.)
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze business problems and provide accurate development estimates
  • Strong communication skills and experience working business stakeholders and web designers Desired Skills
  • Experience with open source JavaScript libraries such as JQuery
  • Experience with the agile/scrum development framework
